I fully support that. I get concerned about the impact it has on our ability to maintain those linkages to the communities. Obviously we go in and out of schools a lot. My concern is that there's going to be some individuals that see somebody outside one of our recruitment centers with a weapon and it may cause them to think twice about coming in and speaking to one of our great recruiters.
I do think that our efforts make a difference.

Tabitha Gavia accepted responsibility as the new senior enlisted leader of the command. He is a native of Columbia, Maryland, and was commissioned in Army Aviation after graduating from Norwich University in She started her Army career in as a Pershing II missile electronic repairer and later reclassified to become a radiology specialist supporting Army Medicine.
She served three years as a recruiter in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The new command team takes responsibility for the recruiting mission for the active Army and the Army Reserve with about 13, recruiters and support personnel stationed at about 1, locations around the world. In parting, outgoing commander Maj. Anthony Stoneburg have been humbled and honored to serve as their leaders for the last three years.
He thanked the commanders and command sergeants major for providing leadership during some challenging times and the command's recruiters and support personnel for a job well done.
